Viterra honoured at Canadian Dealmakers Awards
Viterra was honoured with the Global Expansion Deal of the Year award at the third annual Canadian Dealmakers Gala March 3 in Toronto. Founded by Deloitte, Lexpert(R), The Globe and Mail and Thomson Reuters, the awards recognize Canadian companies that have created value through merger and acquisition transactions.

And across Viterra, we have an abundance of dedicated, high-performing employees, who I also gratefully acknowledge tonight," said Mayo after accepting the award. “This award belongs to so many and represents so much. It marks our Company’s transformation from Canada’s leading agri-business to a global food ingredients supplier.”
The awards honour Canadian companies and individuals whose transactions have significantly impacted their industry through innovation and growth; establishment of best practices; enhancement of customer needs and products and creation of value. The judging panel considered quantitative and qualitative factors, including, financial soundness, improved industry ranking, strength of deal thesis, complexity of the deal and pre-merger and post-merger integration activities.
