Viterra Carbon Credit Program - Saskatchewan

Simple. Flexible. Rewarding.

As part of Saskatchewan’s overall plan to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), the provincial government is developing a carbon offset system that includes improved agricultural and land use practices to help meet provincial GHG targets and promote investments in low-carbon technologies.

Viterra’s Carbon Credit Program is successful in Alberta and we are ready to introduce a Saskatchewan based program once the government’s carbon offset system is in place.

Viterra is currently accepting applications from farmers in Saskatchewan who use reduced-till or no-till practices and are interested in generating carbon offset credits (“carbon credits”). By collecting information from interested farmers now, Viterra will be able to determine farmer eligibility as well as calculate the number of carbon credits a farmer may be entitled to as soon as Saskatchewan’s offset system is in place.

The carbon credit industry is an evolving and dynamic market. At Viterra, we will simplify the process for you by looking after all the details. Download an application today or pick one up at any Viterra location in Saskatchewan.

To request information about Viterra’s Carbon Credit Program and the government’s plan for Saskatchewan, call us at Viterra's Carbon Credit Line at 1-866-712-1090 (option 2) or send an e-mail to carboncredits@viterra.ca. You can also request an application be mailed to you.
