AJHL and Bunge celebrate refreshed collaboration

CALGARY, AB – September 11, 2025

The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and Bunge, a premier global agribusiness solutions company, are pleased  to announce their refreshed collaboration— celebrating their long-standing partnership and mutual commitment to youth hockey in Alberta.

The Bunge North and South Divisions are made possible thanks to Bunge’s continued sponsorship. Through this partnership, and for 11 consecutive years, Bunge has collaborated with the AJHL as the North and South Divisions sponsor, which features North Division teams Bonnyville Pontiacs, Devon Xtreme, Fort McMurray Oil Barons, Grande Prairie Storm, Lloydminster Bobcats, and Whitecourt Wolverines, and the South Division with teams Calgary Canucks, Camrose Kodiaks, Canmore Eagles, Drayton Valley Thunder, Drumheller Dragons and Olds Grizzlys.

Given their shared Alberta roots, the partnership between the AJHL and Bunge is grounded in provincial pride, community engagement, and authentic representation. Together, the AJHL and Bunge aim to foster a strong community for hockey players and fans.

Bunge connects farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world. As a leading Canadian agribusiness, Bunge is also committed to supporting the farming communities it serves through initiatives such as the support of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL).

“At Bunge, we’re proud to continue our longstanding support of the AJHL as title sponsor of the North and South Divisions,” said Kyle Jeworski, head of Bunge Canada.”  Our support of junior hockey is aligned with the importance we place on teamwork, integrity and high performance across our business – the same qualities that guide our employees in delivering superior service to our customers.”

“It’s an honour for the Alberta Junior Hockey League to partner with an entity so aligned with our prairie roots,” stated AJHL Commissioner Ryan Bartoshyk. “Bunge has been a strong partner of the AJHL for over a decade. We are excited to welcome their brand to AJHL arenas beginning this season. We can’t wait for the battle for the Bunge North and South Division titles to begin on September 19.”
