STARS and Bunge share powerful stories in 2026 calendar collaboration

WINNIPEG, September 9, 2025 – STARS and Bunge, a premier global agribusiness solutions company, launched the 2026 STARS calendar today—celebrating their long-standing partnership and mutual commitment to providing critical care, anywhere.

Now in its 34th year, the STARS Calendar—now available for purchase—remains a vital fundraising tradition that connects communities to the mission and people behind STARS. Thanks to continued support from Bunge, STARS publishes the calendar each year to raise vital funds that help ensure critical care is available to those who need it most.

The 2026 edition features stories from three Very Important Patients (VIPs), five STARS crew members—including Orion the dog—three helicopters, and one image of community engagement. This year’s calendar features striking photography and captures themes of innovation, resilience, and community.

Thanks to the generous support of Bunge, the 2026 edition was made possible. As the presenting print sponsor, Bunge has covered the full printing costs of the calendar. Their total giving to STARS represents more than $2.9 million in sponsorship and support.

“The STARS calendar is a reflection of our mission in motion. Behind every image is a patient, a crew member, a moment that mattered,” says Dr. John Froh, CEO of STARS. “We’re grateful for Bunge’s continued partnership and generous sponsorship, which has made this annual tradition possible. Their commitment speaks to a shared dedication to ensuring life-saving care is accessible to communities across Western Canada.”

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with STARS and support their life-saving work across our communities in Western Canada,“ says Kyle Jeworski, head of Canada, Bunge.  “Our longstanding relationship helps ensure that those who need emergency medical services in rural and remote areas can access them in a safe and timely manner, including our employees, our customers, and their families.”

This year’s calendar includes a special tribute to the late Dr. Gregory Powell, who passed away in April 2025. Dr. Powell was the founder of STARS and a visionary who redefined emergency medical care in Canada. The legacy of Dr. Powell is echoed throughout the pages of this calendar.

The 2026 STARS calendar is now available for purchase at starscalendar.ca with all proceeds directly supporting STARS.
